Our Trip Back Home

We recently took a trip back to Oklahoma and Texas to visit our families. We had a wonderful time visiting everyone. Here are some pictures from the trip.

Feeding the cows with Great Grandpa Cameron

Apparently, Grandpa grabbed Carson just as this donkey was running off.

Grandpa, GG, and the grandkids.

Grandpa, GG, the grandkids and great grandkids minus Emmy. The Rider boys belong to Nathan, who is wearing the hat.

Grandpa, GG and the girls minus Robyn and Emmy.

What the boys did for entertainment when they tired of the outdoors. Carson is wearing the khakis.

I have no idea why she decided to put the stickers on her face!

Aviation Nation 2009

The base hosted their annual air show this weekend. On Friday, the performers practice and military card holder can access the flight line to view the show without the crowds. Lucky for us, John had that day off so we were able to spend a good part of the day there. Carson loved the airplane and helicopters.

A New Discovery

This is the new park we discovered about 50 minutes from us.

Carson, Reese, Quincy, and Madison watching the horses.

She was saying 'bubble'.

Trying to catch bubbles.

We have found this amazing playgroup. Everyone in it is super nice. We ventured outside for last weeks playdate and found the Spring Mountain Ranch State Park. It is such a beautiful place. I was so taken with it that I wanted to take John there the very next day! I can't wait to go back.

Ouch!

Carson, Madison, and I had our flu shots this morning. I was so proud of Carson. I think the staff were worried that he would freak out. A little girl screamed and cried over her shot just before us. Not Carson. He said "Ouch" then started giggling! Madison barely whimpered when she received hers. The kids do not seem affected by it at all. It is a different story for me. I started feeling bad about 30 minutes afterward and have felt sick all day. I've never had a reaction to the flu shot before. Hopefully bedtime will come soon!
