Madison

I never, ever would have thought that I would end up with a child with blue eyes, let along two!

Madison's ornery smile.

It is so much fun to watch Madison play and learn. I always wonder what goes on in that little head of hers. It is such a joy to witness the advances in her thinking skills and in turn how she interacts with her environment. She is becoming quite a mischievous little girl!

Tractor Ride

Carson LOVES tactors, especially if they are pulling trailers. He calls this red ride on toy his tractor and is always looking for something to pull. This day he found his trailer. For most of the day he would pull Madison around in the trailer but for a split second, he wanted a ride. This, however, did not last very long. Not long after this photo, he was back to giving Madison rides all over the house. He is such a nice big brother!

Patriotic kids

Since the kids matched this particular Sunday, we thought we should take the opportunity to take pictures. These pictures were taken in John's parents front yard

Children's Museum

Madison tried her best to get in the lap of this statue to read the book.

Carson trying to make a huge bubble.

I think this was the kids favorite part of the museum

Carson was not impressed that this plane moved side to side and front to back.

Flying an airplane just like Daddy!

This museum is in my hometown. I was so excited to take the kids there. I can still remember when it opened. I have not been to too many children's museums yet but this one by far blows away the others. The one we have here just does not come close to comparing! The kids had a blast. We rode the miniature train, made lots of bubbles, dressed up like firemen. dug in the pebbles and flew airplanes. We were doing great until some girl slung bubbles onto Carson's face as we were leaving that exhibit. I had my hands full between getting soap out of Carson's eyes and chasing Madison.

Miss Madison

Madison has taken a liking to this babydoll. It started when we were at my parent's house. She now carries this particular doll everywhere and insists on sleeping with it. I'll post some pictures later of her sleeping with it. Sometimes, when she gets really mad because she is in her crib, she will toss the baby overboard and then that just makes her cry all the more. When I go to get her up from her nap or for the day she will hand me the doll first.

She loves all babydolls now. She can usually be seen carrying one in each arm around the house. When I picked her up from church this morning, she was carrying one around that she had found there.

A Day at the Park

I think I can catch this one!

Come back! Come back!

Carson and Harper

Our entourage.

I'm not scared of you.

A goose! Over there!

Carson, Harper, and Blake

We spent the month of July in Oklahoma and Texas. On this particular day, we went to a park near my hometown to feed the geese. I was so excited to take the kids to this park because I have fond memories of feeding the geese as a child. That and the fact that Madison LOVES ducks. The kids has the best time. I really thought that Carson would be afraid of the geese but he was not. There was one goose who tried to eat the bread out of Carson's hand and I just knew he would flip out but he didn't. He just laughed. I also thought that Madison would be afraid of the geese but she loved every minute of it. You can see in one picture above where she is nose to beak with one goose. After that she only wanted to catch one! She tried so hard!!
