Hats

Not only does Madison love shoes but she also loves hats. I found her walking around the house like this after she found Carson's hat.

First Day of Preschool

I am homeschooling preschool this year with a friend of mine. One day a week the boys are at my house and another day they are at Sarah's house. We are having so much fun with it. In these pictures, the boys are practicing writing their letters and numbers in chocolate pudding. I am so glad that I made them wash their hands before this activity because they would write then lick, write then lick. They had a blast with this! This had them occupied for the longest time. I would recommend this activity as long as you are well prepared!

Madison thought she would add her leftover spaghetti noodles to her pudding. Good: she fed herself really well. Bad: I forgot to A. take off her shirt or B. put on a bib. I think the shirt is ruined.

Lesson learned: Use vanilla pudding!!!

I had to do it 2

After I tried just one little ponytail I HAD to try two. I think I like two better than one. John says that two ponytails really makes her look like a little girl.

Outdoor playtime

These are just some pictures of the kids playing outside one evening. I love to just sit and watch them play together.

Madison has now figured out how to climb all over this thing. I'm on pins and needles the whole time! I try so hard to not be a helicopter mom. She actually does really well with her awareness of the edges. The only time she has actually fallen off is when she tries to get down and instead of getting off of the orange platform, she tries to get off of the grey platform which is taller than she is. Carson, for one, is super excited that Madison can climb all over that now.

This is Carson's favorite spot in the yard. When we first moved in, it looked like a mulch patch. Now there are only traces of mulch and really it is all dirt; perfect for a little boy!

"Hmm, I think it will fit."

A Man's (or kid's) Best Friend

Alex continues to show us how good he is with the kids. He will let Madison pull his hair and ears and never snaps or growls at her. Who knew this little independent street dog would end up to so patient with the kids? When Madison wakes up from her nap, she has to pet Alex before she does anything else!

Carson

These are just some pictures of Carson after his bath one night. He is getting so big so fast.

I had to do it.

I could not take it any longer. I had to at least try. She looks so stinkin' cute with a ponytail!
